Lee Andrew Johnson
1955-2026
"He lived life with peace in his heart, music in his soul, and love for all living things."
Lee Andrew Johnson, age 70, of
Catlettsburg, KY, entered into his eternal rest on March 10, 2026.
Lee was born in the summer of 1955 on August 3rd. He was the blessing of the late Homer and Opal Stevenson Johnson. He was fortunate enough to be one of 11 children belonging to the pair and never knew a day without the company of his close clan. Lee graduated in 1973 from Boyd County High School; it was a time of peace and love. It was the Woodstock era, and his heart never forgot the melody of music. Lee often boasted he was the "Last remaining hippie". Not long after graduation, Lee joined the ranks of United States Army. His time in service was something he held near and dear to his heart. Lee spent four years protecting this great nation and being a Veteran was something he was very proud of. Lee had a knack for fixing things and worked as a self-employed mechanic. Anyone who knew him would always say he was the best around. If it needed fixing, Lee was the guy to fix it. Lee had the kind of soul that just cared for others and animals. He was gentle and loving and animals were drawn to him, which was okay by him, because they made the best companions.
Lee lived a life that was happy, carefree, and full of love and laughter. He will be missed beyond measure. His passing leaves a void in the lives of the people who loved him the most, that may only be filled by the memories he left behind.
Lee leaves behind his beloved sisters, Edith Hatfield of Sidney, KY Brenda Porter of
