Lee Rios

Lee Rios passed away on October 14, 2024, at the age of 81 at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. Born on October 31, 1942 in Puerto Rico, Lee served his country as a member of the Army from June 6, 1966 until he was honorably discharged on May 9, 1968.
Lee is survived by his cousin, Frances Martinez, and a close friend and neighbor, Kevin Gregory. In his working years he was a skilled worker, working in graphic arts for Medical Arts Press and Hefty Graphics. He was a man of diverse interests; Lee was passionate about music, playing the saxophone for a rock/blues band called Big Walter Smith and the Groove Merchants. Lee also was a self taught keyboard player and enjoyed spending time with his dog, Dexter. His other hobbies included watching movies, reading, and exploring the internet. Lee was content with his solitary lifestyle, finding joy in his personal interests and the companionship of his dog.
A service will be held to remember Lee on Thursday October 31, 2024 at 11:30am at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Friends and family who wish to attend the burial can meet at assembly area #4 at 11:15am.
