Lee Trapp Obituary

Visit the Chapman Funerals & Cremations - Marstons Mills website to view the full obituary.
After a courageous battle with cancer, Lee Trapp of Marstons Mills passed away peacefully on October 15th with her husband by her side.

Born at Cape Cod Hospital on October 11th, 1954, Lee was the second born child of Lorraine and Hobart Tompkins. Lee spent her childhood years in Harwich, MA.

In 1968, her family followed her parents' career paths and moved to Apple Valley, CA and then again to Tallahassee, FL in 1970 where she would graduate from Leon High School in 1972. Lee's first job was working at Dunkin Donuts where she saved her money to move back to Cape Cod the day after her high school graduation as she always knew the Cape is where she belonged.

In 1978, Lee met her husband, Rob, while working as an accountant at Chris Bullock Toyota in Hyannis. The couple wed on December 27th, 1980 in Tallahassee, FL and built their forever-home on Long Pond in Marstons Mills, where they raised their two sons Christopher and Michael. Lee worked as a bank teller at Barnstable County Bank and various other administration positions before ultimately starting as a cafeteria worker for the Barnstable Public School System in 1994. During her 31 year career, she worked at many of the Barnstable schools and adored interacting with students, watching them grow as individuals as years went by. In 2018, the Barnstable High School senior class selected Lee to be an honorary member of the National Honors Society, which was a highlight of her career. Lee and Robbie spent most summer days on the pond and at the beach. During the winters they enjoyed the mountains of Waterville Valley, NH. In recent years, the couple vacationed regularly in Fort Myers, FL, enjoying late afternoon walks on the beach every day. Lee loved her family and friends fiercely and was always a proud supporter to those around her.

Lee is survived by her loving husband Robert Trapp of Marstons Mills, her two sons, Christopher Trapp and his wife Alyssa of Marstons Mills and Michael Trapp and his wife Kelly of Sandwich. She leaves two siblings, Greg (Colleen) Farmer of Falmouth and Jennifer (Jeff) Hurst of Kingston, TN. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Mila, Cole and Avery, who all affectionately referred to her as their "Lee Lee."

Lee was predeceased by her parents and her brother Kerry Farmer of Harwich.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Chapman Funeral & Cremations, 3778 Falmouth Rd., Route 28, Marstons Mills on Sunday October 26th from 1-4PM with a special tribute beginning at 1:30pm.
