Robert T. Archibald, 72, of Marstons Mills, passed away Monday, October 6th, 2025 after a brief illness.

Bob was born in Waltham, MA to the late David and Lillian (Guilford) Archibald, and grew up in Millis, graduating from Millis High School in 1971. While attending Bridgewater State College, he worked as a summer special police officer in Chatham, where he met the love of his life, Christine.

After college, Bob joined the US Army, serving in communications and military police at Vint Hill Farms Station in Virginia. Bob's career in law enforcement continued at the MA Registry of Motor Vehicles, retiring as a State Trooper. He was well known for his extensive story telling, especially about his career. Bob enjoyed spending time camping in Maine, fishing the ponds of Marstons Mills, riding ATVs, and searching for lighthouses with his wife.

Spending time with his family was Bob's favorite pastime. He is survived by wife of 50 years, Christine (Kendrick) Archibald, children Heather Archibald Dynok, Katie Taylor, Robert Archibald, Heidi Archibald Werzanski, and their spouses, as well as his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jacob, Richie, Krissy, Robbie, Thomas, Lillian, and Joseph.

Visitation will be held from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm on Friday October 10, 2025, at Chapman Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road, Marstons Mills. A Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday October 11, 2025, at 10:30am. Burial to follow at Marstons Mills Cemetery.
