Lela Stutzman, 91, of Streetsboro, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2025, at her residence at the age of 91. She was born on August 11, 1933, in Milford, Nebraska, to Emery and Ada (Stutzman) Schweitzer. Lela dedicated most of her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family. She was a faithful member of the Aurora Mennonite Church throughout her life. While her heart was at home, Lela also extended her nurturing spirit to Hattie Larlham for several years. A talented and avid quilter, Lela poured her love into creating beautiful quilts and blankets for each of her family members, leaving behind cherished heirlooms. Her family will also fondly remember her for her legendary homemade donuts and cinnamon rolls, a testament to her culinary skills and generous spirit. Lela is survived by her son, Donald (June) Stutzman, her daughter-in-law Mary Stutzman, seven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, her sisters, and sons, Mervin and Joseph Stutzman. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM, both at the Aurora Mennonite Church. Pastors Jim Sutton and Jim Schwartz will officiate. Burial will follow the service at the Aurora Mennonite Church Cemetery. The family welcomes condolences and memories of Lela, which may be shared online at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
