Leland Williams Carruth, Sr., born on December 4, 1941, in Gulf Port, Mississippi, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. He was the beloved son of the late J.P. and Ruth Marie Williams. Leland's life journey led him back to Gulf Port, where he devoted himself to caring for his elderly parents until their passing. Beyond his work, Leland found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed golfing, and was a passionate fan of Ole Miss football. These interests brought him happiness and allowed him to create lasting memories with family and friends.
Leland leaves behind his son, Leland Carruth, Jr., and wife Peggy; daughter, Sheryl C. Tate; grandchildren, Kohli, Carly, Holden, Tripp, Jessica, and Kaitlyn; as well as his brother, Morgan, and sister, Nancy.
