TYLER, TX/ STURBRIDGE: Leland Stanford (Lee) Coffey Jr., 87, Leland died in Tyler, Texas on September 21,2022.
Mr. Coffey was a native of Bakersfield, California and had lived in Tyler Texas since December of 2021. For the past few years, he had been staying with each of his four children after moving from California.
He is predeceased by his wife Carol Coffey 2017 and sister Martha J. Welk 1993. Born in Long Beach, California he was the son of the late Leland and Mildred Coffey.
Leland is survived by his son Robert Coffey and his wife Wipaporn of Whitehouse, TX; his daughters Lynn Hudson and her husband Scott of Plymouth, ME; Robin Janda and her husband Pete of Oakland, TN and JoAnn Sandgren and her husband Shawn of Southbridge, MA. He is also survived by his brothers George Coffey and his wife Edna of Bakersfield, CA, Norman Coffey and his wife Wanda of Bakersfield, CA; and his sister Barbara Johnston of Bakersfield, CA; 12 grandchildren Richie, Amy, Michael, Erin, Sean Brandon, Mathew, Nathan, Rozalina, Emilyrose, Kody, and Kaden; 10 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces.
Leland served in the Air Force from 1954-1979. He loved travel, family, dancing, and adventures. He always had the best jokes and stories.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 8th, from 10- NOON, followed by a service at NOON, in the Belanger Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge, MA. Burial will follow in North Cemetery, 131 Maple St. Sturbridge.
Belanger Bullard Funeral Home is directing arrangements.
