George Leland Conway was born on November 10, 1938 in Gorman, Texas to Elmer James and Oneta Kay (Wicker) Conway.
Dad was a truck driver for Gulf and Chevron for 38 years (Groves, Texas) and number of years for Durham's Pecan (Comanche, Texas). He was a gentle giant with a huge heart. His greatest loves were Comanche, Texas, his wife Noelle and his children, family and his friends. He welcomed everyone and had friends of all ages. He loved his flags, freshly cut lawn, Steve Harvey and game shows. Words cannot express how many lives he touched and how he embodied his Christian faith by serving others. Our lives and this world was a better place with him in it.
He is preceded by his parents, Jim and Oneta Conway. Brothers: ML, James and Opal Conway, and Bobby Conway, Sisters: Vivian Martin, and Geraldine Stallings, Children: Charles and Christopher Conway, and his great granddaughter Hannah Miller.
He is survived by his wife: Noelle Davis Conway, Children: Gregg and Lauren Conway, Glenn and Anita Conway, Donna and Patrick Creech, Rodney Bernard, Nancy and Gerald Torres, Kenneth Carswell, Michael and Kimberly Bernard, Grandchildren: Jennifer (Brody) Lancaster, Amanda (Scott) Green, Holli (Nathan) Quebe, Alyssa Conway, Daniel (Heather) Conway, Kyle (Heather) Gillette, Marisa Colyer (Sean Delaney), Anesha (David) Woods, Samuel Howarth, Samantha Creech (Miguel Bertran), John Myers, Kristin Bernard, Kaitlyn Greer, Brandi Bernard, Lauren (Tyler) Yanelli, Halston Torres, Bryan and Rachel Shelton, Great Grandchildren: Colby Lancaster, Maddy Miller, Paityn Hawthorne, Isabella and Tori Quebe, Trinity and Tiffani Chance and Tristynn Conway, Gabriel (Brystal) Gillette, Logan Gillette, Aiden Woods, Reid Woods, Hayden, Ryan, Kaysen, Coston, Amelia and Xander, and Great Great Grandchildren: Leona Shelton.
