Leland Phillip Lindeman, “Phil”, 74 passed away Tuesday July 22 in Madison, WI.
Phil was the son of Leland and Caroline Fyock Lindeman was born on January 30, 1951 in Boone, IA. He received his education from Stanhope High School. After graduating he enlisted with the United States Air Force where he served during the Vietnam War. On February 14, 1978 he married Janis Lynn Buck. After many years of farming, driving trucks and being a mechanic at Bobcat of Madison, he retired in 2011. He loved being a dad, but most of all being a grandpa and great grandpa.
Phil is survived by his wife, children Brian (Patricia) Lindeman of Logan, Utah, Christina (Jeremy) Nordberg, of Fort Atkinson, WI, James Lindeman, of Utica, WI, Jennifer(Russ) Brown, of Bancroft, WI, Michelle (Joel) Sewell, of Fort Atkinson, WI, Sister Marilyn (Gene)Rehm of Iowa Falls, IA, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers.
Visitation will be held at Cress Center, 6021 University Ave., on August 8 from 11am-12:30 pm with funeral service beginning at 12:30 followed by military honors.
