Leland Price Moore died unexpectedly at home on his favorite day of the year, December 25, 2023 (Christmas Day).

Leland was born July 23, 1965 in Ogden Utah to Robert F. and Colleen Price Moore. He attended schools in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School in 1984. Leland then served a 2-year mission to the Montana Billings Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Leland most recently worked at Lee's Marketplace in North Ogden where he was known as "The Weatherman". He loved his job, the people he worked with, and his customers. He never forgot a name or face, and would report to his wife on who he saw everyday. His smile, warmth, and happy personality won the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Leland loved to sing in church and music was very important to him. If he wasn't listening to music or singing, he was watching movies. He also had a fascination with everything weather related and would talk about the weekly reports as well as which clouds were in the sky each day. And boy, did he love the snow! While Leland loved all holidays, his favorite was Christmas. A Christmas-themed cake with pineapple filling and a gingerbread stocking cookie made his celebrations complete.

Leland was one of the most loving, humble and gentle of Heavenly Father's children to come to earth. He had a lifelong faith in his Savior, Jesus Christ, and he exemplified his teachings through love and kindness to everyone. He was truly blessed with the gifts of love, compassion and forgiveness.

Leland was married to Jill Anhder by LaMoine Anhder, Jill's father, in the Ogden Utah LDS Temple on March 26, 2011 and they made their home in North Ogden, UT.

Leland was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Jill, his sister Persephone (Matt) Johnson, and brother Sterling Moore.

Viewing services will be held at Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N 400 E (Washington Blvd.) on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. Private burial will be on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park.
