Leland "Lee" Sewell Tibbetts, 67, of Cloquet passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022 in his home. He was born on July 3, 1955 in Cloquet to Sewell and Doris Tibbetts. He attended Cloquet High School.
Lee was a construction worker for Fond du lac Construction for many years. He was a member of the Laborer's union Local 1091 and he was a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved ricing and agate picking.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Novacinski; and sisters, Abby Volkert and MaryAnn Erickson.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Jason (Jennifer) Tibbetts of Cloquet, Jennifer (Kerry Helquist) Humphreys of Duluth, and Cody Tibbetts of Cloquet; three grandchildren, Sander and Conner Tibbetts and Mason Humphreys; brother, Jeffrey (Sherry) Tibbetts of Cloquet; sisters, Beth Tibbetts Diver of Cloquet and Bunny (Kenny) Jaakola of Cloquet; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A special thanks to Essentia Health Hospice for their loving care of Lee.
