Lena Martha Dofflemyer

Lena Martha (Vincent) Dofflemyer, 92, of Bridgeport, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 13, 2024, in the Fairmont Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born in Wolf Summit on November 5, 1931, a daughter of the late John Ellis and Lillie Isabel (Thompson) Vincent.
On August 11, 2004, she married Kenneth Harold Dofflemyer, who preceded her in death on July 2, 2006.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Bland of Bridgeport; 5 great-grandchildren, Devyn King, Mia King, Max King, Lena King, and Jase Haswell; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by 2 children in infancy; a grandson, Robert Bland; a granddaughter, Amy Nicole Haswell; three brothers, Ira, Earl, and Ellis Vincent.
Lena was a graduate of Victory High School and the West Virginia Business College. She worked as a packer for Hazel Atlas Glass, Continental Can, Brockway Glass, and finally Newell, retiring after 38 years of service when the company closed.
She was a master of crocheting, and loved WVU sports. She was Baptist by faith.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Bridgeport Cemetery, with Pastor Gary Hayes presiding.
