She attended the public schools in Washington, DC. Lena worked as a housekeeper at the University of Maryland. In 1994, she moved to Bennettsville, SC. There she met the love of her life and married, York (Smokie) Sellers. She attended Cedar Falls Missionary Baptist Church in Bennettsville. Lena loved to cook, dance, sing, crochet, color, and work puzzle books.
Lena is preceded in death by her husband, York Sellers; and mother, Wilamina Saunders.
She leaves behind a son, Deanelgo Bratcher; three grandsons, Deangelo Jr., Elijah, and Stevie; two sisters, Pearl (Ray), and Ernestine Harvey; one favorite nephew, Derrick; two favorite nieces, Keyana Green, and Ashley Butt; and host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family of Lena C. Sellers would like to thank everyone for the calls, cards, flowers, and kind acts of sympathy during this time of loss. Lena was the light of our world.
