Lenor A. Endries was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend who passed away on Tuesday morning, June 18, 2024 at the age of 93. She was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Lenor was born on June 12, 1931, in Brillion, daughter of the late John and Sophie (Pritzl) Geiger. Upon graduating from Brillion High School, she moved to Manitowoc to pursue work at the Manitowoc Telephone Company.
On April 18, 1959, she was united in marriage to Roman A. Endries. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2017. A former telephone operator and homemaker, the simplest pleasures in life brought joy to Lenor. You could find her in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family. She was patient, kind and an excellent listener who was a devout Catholic and truly loved her faith. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities such as riding her bike, filling the bird feeder, looking after the horses, tending to pets, watching the gardens grow and later harvesting them. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. She loved and cherished her family.
Survivors include six children and their spouses: Dennis and Brenda Endries, Osman; Mark Endries, Manitowoc; David and Michelle Endries, Manitowoc; Linda and Rick Mauthe, Neenah; Mary and Dan Simon, Oregon; Janice and Randy Hughes, DeForest; nine grandchildren: Darlene, Dan (Kirsten), David (Sara), Derek, Amber, Michael, Grant, Allison and Zachary; four great-grandchildren: Layla, Juliette, Frederick and Maverick; one brother and sister-in-law: Kenneth and Beatrice Geiger, Brillion; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Alfred and Kathleen Endries, Pipe, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother and sister-in-law: Leroy and Marcella Geiger.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, June 24, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Matt Colle will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum at a later date. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of Mass at 10:30 am.
