Jim Pollen, age 75, of Manitowoc passed away Tuesday morning, September 23, 2025.

Jim was born on June 5th, 1950, in Manitowoc, son of the late Philip & Vanda (Bukoski) Pollen and was a 1968 graduate of Lincoln High School. He married the former Cheryl Stone at First Reformed United Church of Christ on September 15, 1973.

Jim completed his patternmaker's apprenticeship in 1989. He worked with his hands his entire life then opened his own business: Pollen's Home Improvement. He could build or fix just about anything, but among the joys in his life were his children and Grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time in the woods cutting firewood, deer hunting, fishing or walking the back 40, but especially spending time with his family on the deck of the cabin he designed & built in Rhinelander, with a drink in his hand!

He enjoyed driving his 1966 Corvette Stingray and was a member of the Manitowoc Gun Club.

Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cheryl, and their three children: Ryan (Mindi) Pollen, Eric (Rachelle) Pollen and Lori (Adam) Sitkiewitz. He is further survived by his 8 Grandchildren: Nathan, Jacob, Kayleigh, Sophia, Logan & Gavin Pollen, Aubrey & Owen Sitkiewitz and his sisters: JoAnn (Karl) Kummer of Rhinelander and Nancy Weier of Manitowoc.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Philip & Vanda Pollen & his brother-in-law, Ken Weier.

A memorial service to celebrate Jim's life will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 at 6:00 pm at the Peace United Church of Christ / Lakeshore Life Celebration Center, 3613 Waldo Blvd. with Rev. Dr. Matt Sauer officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Peace United Church of Christ / Lakeshore Life Celebration Center from 4:00 pm until the time of service 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for donation of their choice.

The family would like to thank Chad of Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center and our heartfelt thank you to the wonderful CNA's who cared for him. Also, to the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their loving care.
