Lenore Ruth Lapidus

Lenore Ruth Marson Lapidus, age 87, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024, at JFK Hospital in Edison, NJ.
Lenore was born on November 10, 1936 in Plainfield, NJ to Blanche and Jack Marson. A graduate of Upsala College and Newark State University, she went on to become a teacher in Spotswood, NJ. Lenore married Irving Lapidus on July 3rd 1960, and they settled down in Iselin, NJ, where they raised their family of three, Bonnie, Jack, and Steven.
In her free time, Lenore enjoyed ceramics, cooking, playing cards, and spending time with her family. She went through Bat Mitzvah classes later in life and was an active synagogue member, where she attended lively Friday night shabbats. Lenore found joy in celebrating Jewish holidays with her loved ones - hosting countless Hanukkahs, Passovers, and High Holiday meals for all to enjoy.
Lenore is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Morse, and her husband, David, of Edison, son, Steven Lapidus, and his wife, Ellie, of West Caldwell, and Jack Lapidus, and his wife, Cindy, of Scotch Plains. She will be missed by her numerous grandchildren, Kara and Sherilyn, Elisiya, Aaron, and Emilia, and Jillian, Jeffrey, and James, as well as her great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend the service at Goldstein Funeral Chapel, 2015 Woodbridge Avenue, Edison, NJ 08817. Burial service will be at Samptown Jewish Cemetery, 1524 New Market Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Shiva will be held immediately after on Tuesday from 3:30pm-5pm and 6pm-9pm, Wednesday 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm, and Thursday 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm.
