The Venerable Lenox Percy Stuger, of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, at the age of 85.

Born on June 6, 1940, in Rosehall, Guyana, South America, Lenox was the second of four children of Percy William Stuger and Elva Elizabeth Stuger. He grew up in Georgetown, Guyana alongside his siblings-older brother Sydney and younger sisters Joan and Yvonne-where he developed a lifelong love of cricket and enjoyed watching major matches with friends and family.

After completing his education in Georgetown, Lenox began his career in the insurance industry. It was during these formative years in the close-knit community of Georgetown that he met the love of his life, Valerie Monica Welcome. The two married on December 15, 1960, beginning a partnership that would span more than six decades.

In 1970, Lenox and Valerie embarked on a new chapter, immigrating to Boston, Massachusetts, where they raised their four children: Shaun, Jeremy, Nicola, and Tracy. Lenox continued working in insurance before transitioning to a long and fulfilling career in security at Arthur D. Little, the world's oldest consulting firm. Over more than 20 years of dedicated service, he became a trusted presence, known for his quiet strength, commitment,

Lenox was a proud and active member of the Independent United Order of Mechanics, Friendly Society, Western Hemisphere, Inc., New England District Grand Lodge #1. His decades of service culminated in his induction into the College of Venerable Past Grandmasters. Through his leadership and care, he helped steward the organization's lodges and chapters, always mindful of the wellbeing of members and their families.

Lenox had a deep love for Caribbean culture. He found joy in reggae music, the flavors of Caribbean and the traditions that reminded him of home. Whether through cooking, music, or conversation, he kept his Guyanese roots and the spirit of the Caribbean alive in his daily life.

Known for his strong sense of fashion and impeccable style, he took pride in presenting himself with grace and polish. Whether dressed for church, a family gathering, or a community event, he carried himself with dignity, charm, and elegance.

He also loved to travel, especially cruising the Caribbean with Valerie by his side. Visits with family in New York, New Jersey, Canada and England were treasured, as were gatherings filled with laughter, music, and good food.

He is survived by his four children, sixteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
