Leo "Chris" Christopher Mattingly

NEW MADRID – Leo "Chris" Christopher Mattingly, of New Madrid, Missouri, passed away on March 31, 2025, at Regional One Health in Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of 59. He was born on October 11, 1965, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to Leo L. and Judith A. (Crandall) Mattingly.

Chris is survived by his beloved son, Jacob (Tori) Mattingly; his parents, Leo and Judith Mattingly; his fiancée, Beth "Bobbie" Busciglio; his aunt, Marsha Asberry; and several cousins and special friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Al Crandall.

Chris graduated from North County High School in 1984. Throughout his life, Chris worked in various warehouse jobs, while in his spare time, he enjoyed writing and playing music, spending much of his time playing guitar, bass, and singing in several bands. He enjoyed watching Nascar and movies, finding joy in life's simple pleasures. Chris's creativity, kind heart, and infectious spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. officiated by Pastor Tim Morgan.
