Leo C. Lefebvre Jr.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Leo Clement Lefebvre Jr., who went home to be with the Lord on November 29, 2024. Born on July 8, 1940, in Athol, MA. Leo is preceded in death by his parents Leo Clement Lefebvre Sr. and Jullian Lena Lefebvre, his sister Norma Gould, his brother Chris Lefebvre, and 2 infant sons Peter and Douglas.
He is survived by his cherished children, Robin Lefebvre-Ricci (David), Karen Lefebvre, Andrea Lefebvre Kohn (AJ), and Leo C. Lefebvre III (Candace), as well as his beloved grandchildren, Alexander, Asher, Sofia and Leo Cayce. Leo is also survived by his ex-wife and mother of his children Nancy Bollman Lefebvre, with whom he remained dear friends until the end.
An engineering graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Leo's career began at General Electric in Liverpool, NY before accepting a position as Unit Supervisor at Philco Ford in Philadelphia. After the loss of his firstborn to SIDS, Leo became the Programs Coordinator for the Delaware Valley Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Center at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Leo claimed that it was the best thing he ever did, calling his work "a very rewarding experience" and "a helpful, humane endeavor". Leo eventually became the Executive Director of Fiscal Affairs for the Department of Pediatrics at CHOP. While at CHOP he proudly obtained a Master of Science degree in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania.
A man of deep faith, Leo lived his life with love, kindness and generosity. He was a humble leader and a peacemaker, spreading his love for Jesus as a Bible study leader, a mentor for church college and career groups, and as a leader and coordinator of Methodist Lay Witness Missions. His faith and outreach touched many lives.
Funeral arrangements will be held at a later date and will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American SIDS Institute, in support of SIDS research.
May you find eternal joy in God's presence.
