Leo graduated from Bettye Mae Jack High School in 1967 where he played football and was a member of the Future Farmers of America. Leo embraced his faith and was an active member of Homestead M.B. Church for over 50 years. He was a trustee, all- around handyman for the church, and thoroughly enjoyed singing in the male chorus. Leo retired from a construction career as a top-notch heavy machine operator. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he watched every episode of Gunsmoke at least three times. His quiet demeanor, generous spirit and fierce loyalty drew people to him. Leo loved his family dearly and often made them laugh with his straight to the point, observational humor. He was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
