Lionel Ramirez Sr. (AKA Leo) passed away unexpectedly on June 26, 2025 in Birmingham, Alabama at the age of 58.
He is survived by his significant other, Angela; sons, Lionel Ramirez Jr. (Kara) and Dakota Ramirez (Sara); grandchildren, Amarissa, Armani, and Analise. brothers, Julian Ramirez Jr. and Homer Ramirez (Rhonda); sisters, Cruz Morgan (Frankie), Linda Ramirez (Dan), Esmeralda Madrigal (Phillip), Julie Ramirez (Juan), Rachel Ramirez, Maria Ramirez, Angie Trammel, and many nieces and nephews.
Leo is preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Eulalia Ramirez; brother, Tony Trammel; nephew, John Lee Brown III and great-nephew, Cassius Lovett.
Leo loved his family dearly. He loved spending time with his grandkids. He had a passion for drawing and painting. He loved drawing for everyone. Leo was a Chiefs, Royals, and KU fan. Chiefs were his favorite. Leo would not miss a Chiefs game, always posting on FB before each game. His sisters had nicknames for Leo like “Bonehead” and “Clown”. Leo was very needy and definitely a mama’s boy. He was very creative, always making things out of things he found. He loved collecting clowns. Leo will be missed dearly by all of his loved ones. The family would like to thank everyone who has reached out to them during these difficult times.
