Leo Runnels Obituary

Published by Claire Brothers Funeral Home - Houston from Apr. 9 to Apr. 10, 2020.
Leo Runnels, age 80, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, April 7, 2020. Leo was born November 17, 1939 to parents, Gladys Cooke and Ben Elmer Runnels in Houston, Texas. Leo was a wonderful brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather to many. He served proudly in the Air Force as Air Policeman from July 22, 1959 to July 21, 1965. He was fondly remembered for loving God, country and family Leo was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, his wife, Bernibelle, son, Timothy; daughter, Sherrie. He is survived by his brother, Audra Runnels; son, Craig Runnels and daughter, Jackie Martinez. Leo believed in Jesus Christ and could unashamedly share his love for Him with others. As family, we find solace he has a new body with our Lord in Heaven and as reunited with his two children. We look forward to the day we will all reunite again. We will miss you Pepaw!

There will be a graveside service Friday, April 10, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Montague Cemetery.

2 Timothy 4:7-8

I have fought the good fight, I finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
