Leocadio Olivio Pozo (91) passed away at home with his family on June 28, 2025 after a long battle with cancer and dialysis. Born in Cuba 1933, Leo flew to the United States in 1971 with his wife, Ana, and young son, Olivio. Together they pursued and achieved their American dream in Naples. After being a small business owner for many years, Leo decided to work alongside his wife at Lely High School from where they both retired. Most people will tell you Leo was a funny guy-great sense of humor which came naturally to him. He was a very kind man and especially generous to those in need providing support for many over the years. Leo was an avid reader who could contribute to a discussion on any number of subjects. He loved roosters, sports, talking with his brothers, and above all, his grandchildren and great-grandchild. He was a devoted grandfather earning the title #1 Abuelo. Leo is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ana Pozo, son Olivio (Laurie) Pozo, grandson Nic Pozo, granddaughter Gabrielle (Gabriel) Arini, great-grandson Noah Waydin Arini, nieces Isabel Pozo Polo (Mary), Carmen Pozo Lopez (Jorge), and great nephews Alex and Michael Lopez. He also leaves behind his devoted, loyal older brother, Raimundo Pozo (Zenaida). Leo was preceded in death by his parents Leocadio and Carmen Pozo, his older sister Dr. Yara Pozo, and his eldest brother Dr. Ovidio Pozo (Hilda). A private memorial will be held with family.
