It is with deep sadness and immense joy, we announce Leo Bobe left this world to be with his savior Jesus Christ, on Tuesday morning August 19th, 2025. He passed peacefully at home with his loving wife of 69 years, Lois "Jayne" nee Reece at his side.

He was born Leodin Bobe, the 3rd of 10 surviving children, to Leoncio and Juana Bobe, on August 13th 1932, in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. He is joining in heaven his mother, father, brothers Ray, Danny, and Joe, sister Olga and devoted son in law Billy Forester.

He is survived by his loving and adoring family, wife Jayne, children Tony and Eileen Bobe, Mike and Carol Bobe, and Kathy Forrester; grandchildren: Matthew James, Megan, MaryKate, Christopher, Samantha, Michael, and Brandon; great grandchildren: Matthew John, Henry, Brendan, Emma, Maggie, Carmella "Millie", and Marion; three sisters: Iris Nelson, Josie Hidalgo and Ruth Valez; and two brothers: David Bobe and Ruben Boben.

Leo led a blessed and purposeful life, fueled by his love and devotion to God, family and country. Divinely blessed when he met a beautiful 18 year old farm girl from Virginia named Lois Jayne Reece, sparking an enduring relationship marked by unwavering love, devotion, trust and respect. His Christian faith is exemplified by a lifelong commitment to discipleship and a desire to hear the words "well done thou good and faithful servant".

Leo's impressive and diverse academic and professional life is earmarked by achievement and service to others. Beginning with an 11 year active duty career in the US Air Force, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant and crew chief on B47s. He resigned to heed a divine call to attend North Central Bible College, graduating in four years, serving as Senior Class President and Valedictorian, while working full time to provide for his wife and 2 young boys.

Over the ensuing 35 years, beginning in 1965, Leo was an urban missionary, completed a 25 year career with the NY Bureau of Child Welfare, acquired a Masters degree (MSW) from Adelphi University, completed 20 years of service with the US Army Reserves, retiring with the rank of Captain, and built a private counseling practice providing services to families and children. All of this was accomplished while providing his family, wife, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, inspiration, encouragement and guidance, with unwavering love and support.

His spirit will live on with his family and every person who had the privilege and honor to ever meet him.

Calling hours will be Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 11:30 am to 12:30 PM at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA, followed by the funeral service at 12:30 with Rev. John Harris of Faith Assembly of God Church of Chestnut Ridge, NY, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, 370 Pine Grove Road, Newfoundland, PA.

God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I was blessed to know Leo and looked forward each day to his walks to the mailbox, which was in front of my house. We never had a conversation when he didn´t profess his love for his wife Jane. Jane and Leo´s faith in the Lord was a great inspiration to me, and both were present when I accepted Jesus as my saviour. I have nothing but fond memories of this wonderful man. R.I.P my dear friend
