John Bobe, 90, of Vincennes, IN passed away peacefully at home June 7, 2025. He was born in Princeton, IN on August 26, 1934, to the late Raymond W. and N. Edna (Haper) Bobe. John graduated from Decker High School and was named outstanding alumni for 2008. He married the love of his life, Carol Ann Clinkenbeard on October 23, 1955. John was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the Community United Methodist Church. He also held membership with the Masonic Lodge, the Quiet Birdsmen Pilot Organization, Shriners, and the Scottish Rite. John proudly served on the Indiana Military Museum board and the Lawrenceville - Vincennes International Airport Board. John loved being involved with his community. He worked as the President of McCormick Inc. and was the co-owner of Bestway Express. In his free time, he enjoyed piloting a variety of aircraft, boating at Kentucky Lake, and spending time with his family.
John is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and N. Edna Bobe; wife Carol Bobe; granddaughter Sarah Ann Cavanaugh.
He is survived by his daughters Melissa (Kevin) Cavanaugh and Andrea (Andrew Napier) Bobe; grandchildren Evan (Chelsea) Napier, Christian (Amanda) Napier, Lillian (Julius Exner) Napier, Eron (Kristina) Cavanaugh, Audrey Cavanaugh; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Bobe. Visitation will be held on June 13, 2025, at Community Church of Vincennes from 11 am to service time. The Funeral Service will begin promptly at 1 pm with burial at Memorial Park to follow.
Memorial donations can be made to the Indiana Military Museum and the Lawrenceville Vincennes Airport Development Foundation Fund in John's honor.
