Leodis Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clay Funeral Home, Inc. - Forrest City on Mar. 11, 2026.
Leodis Williams, Sr. was born to the late Herman and Castella Williams on December 4, 1944, in Forrest City, Arkansas. He departed this life on February 28, 2026.On March 21, 1965, Leodis Williams, Sr., was united in holy matrimony to Pauline Cooper before the eyes of the Lord. Their union was filled with love and devotion until her passing on December 23, 2022. Later in life, he found love again and was married to Juliet Motley on July 12th, 2025.

Leodis was a devoted father, brother, and family man who cherished the time he spent with those he loved. His presence, wisdom, and strength will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Juliet Williams; five sons: Joe Ingram, Gerald Williams, Herman Williams III, Leodis Williams II, and Theodis Williams; his loving siblings: Howard Williams, Cornelius Williams, Elsie Lee Williams, Timothy Williams and Deloris Williams-Stewart, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pauline Williams, and his siblings: Herman Williams, Lola Williams-Hall, Eugene Williams, Dunbar Williams, Leonard Williams, Catherine Williams-Smith, Stella Williams-Howard, and Sadie Williams-White.

Leodis was a long-time member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a member of the choir, the Deacon board, and as Treasurer. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1964. He worked for years as a Supervisor at Warwick Electronics, which eventually became Sanyo Manufacturing Corp. He then moved on to work at the Forrest City School District as the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds until he retired in 2012. Leodis was a pillar of the community, elected multiple times to serve as Justice of the Peace for District 10 in St. Francis County. He also served on the board of the St. Francis County Housing Authority. Additionally, he was the owner of New Products International, where for over 40 years took great pleasure in providing outfits to customers so they could look their best. He loved spending time with his family, spoiling his grandchildren, traveling, taking on (and supervising) various projects, and watching football. Though he has departed this earthly life, the love he shared, the lessons he taught, and the legacy he leaves behind will continue to live on through his family and all who were blessed to know him.
