Leon “Lee” Reginald Barcomb, 83, of Boiling Springs passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025 at the Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum.
Born in Randolph, Vermont he lived in several towns in Vermont before the family moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut. Leon graduated from Bullard Havens Technical School and Norwalk Technical College and played basketball at both. He was very proud of his time serving in the US Navy, flying in E-2A reconnaissance planes from aircraft carriers.
He is survived by his wife Susan of 59 years, his sister Lorraine Fedak, children, Katie Hughey (Todd), Amy Barcomb, and Brian Barcomb (Pam), grandchildren Ethan Hughey, Tyler Hughey (Alexis), and Robyn Peterson (Ryan), and great grandchild Sutton Hughey. He was predeceased by his sister Leona Barcomb.
Lee had a long career as a quality manager and plant manager retiring from Specialty Electronics/Delphi in Landrum in 2010.
A funeral mass will be held at Jesus Our Risen Savior Church on Friday, August 29 at 2 pm. The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 1:45 pm at the Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to support the Adorno Fathers or your favorite charity.
