Leon Edward "Eddie" Elliott

Leon Edward Elliott, 85, of Greenville, beloved husband of Jeannie Elliott, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026.

Born and raised in Greenville, he was the son of the late William Elliott and Louise McConnell Elliott. Eddie was a graduate of Parker High School, Class of 1958.

Eddie proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marines. He was a man of strong faith and attended Salem United Methodist Church.

He was a dedicated member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. In his leisure time, Eddie enjoyed flying remote-control airplanes and was especially talented in scroll saw artwork, creating pieces that reflected both patience and skill.

Eddie was a man of deep family values, unwavering pride in his country, and quiet integrity. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather. His legacy of hard work, creativity, and love for family will be remembered always.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by son, Dean Elliott; daughter, Tracy Elliott Davis; grandson, David Elliott; brother, Lynn Elliott.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Elliott.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 27, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, 1775 Semper Fidelis Wy, Triangle, VA 22172.
