It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leon "PAC RAT" Messer of Covington, Kentucky. He passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Gallatin County Nursing Home and Rehab in Warsaw, Kentucky from battling cancer.
He was born in Los Angeles, California on June 1, 1963 to Emily Kerr and Mack Messer. He loved music, riding his bicycle and watching baseball and football on T.V. He never missed the WEBN Fireworks. He was a very chill and laid-back person. "PAC RAT" was loved very much by the community of Covington and got along with just about everyone.
He is survived by his four children: Pamela Lewit (Husband, Jared Lewit of New Hampshire), Patricia Nichols (Husband, Eric Nichols of Texas), Joshua Messer (Husband, Kevin Brown of Ohio), and Emma Messer of Walton, Kentucky. He is also survived by his grandson, Ben Nichols and his Leon's extended family.
In lieu of his passing his family decided not to have a service or calling hours. There will ne no graveside service as he was cremated per his wishes. The family is asking if anyone would like to make a donation in his name, please do so at the local food pantry in Covington, Kentucky.
