Leon Mingie Obituary

Leon attended Rule High School, in Knoxville and later joined marines and fought in the Korean war. He worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad Company as carman and retired from there.
Leon is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Hazel Mingie; two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Lee Hensley Mingie; son, Chris Mingie; three daughters from a previous marriage; brother, Paul Mingie, of Powell.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022.
Family and friends will gather for graveside services on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 1 p. m, at Highland Memorial West, 9913 Sherrill Blvd., Knoxville 37932.
