Leon Russell Obituary
Leon Britton Russell, age 89 of Hermitage, TN formerly of the Willette Community in Macon County, TN passed away Monday evening, October 13, 2025 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN. Leon is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN.
Funeral Services for Leon Britton Russell will be conducted Saturday afternoon, October 18, 2025, at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elliot Hamm officiating. Interment will follow in the Thomas Cemetery in Willette.
Visitation will begin Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.
He is preceded in death by: Parents, Carl Kirby & Susie Doyle Smith Russell and 2 brothers, Durell Russell & Jack Wayne Russell.
Survivors include: Daughters, Karen Prater & husband Larry of Hermitage, Beth Prater & husband, Mike of Mt. Juliet, Grandchildren, Kaitlin Prater & companion, Corbin Middleton, Russell Prater & wife, Makayla, Great-Grandson, Rhett Prater, Nephew, Ricky Russell, and Niece, Teresa Reid.
