Leon Sellers, beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away December 2, 2024, in Wolfforth, Texas. He was born July 5, 1952, to Ernest and Darlene Sellers.
Leon married his loving wife Mary Sellers in 1974 and together they raised two children, Amy and Tye. Leon and Mary were also blessed with 3 grandchildren, Zachary and Zoe Pyle, and Milo Sellers.
Leon attended Seagraves High School, graduating in 1970, and continued his education at Odessa College. Leon dedicated many years of his life to his work, at Apache Oil Corporation, until his retirement in 2021. He was a member of the Quaker Ave. Church of Christ in Lubbock.
Leon will be remembered for his kind heart, his love for his family, and his hard work ethic. He faced his battle with cancer with courage and grace, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Darlene Sellers, and his Grandparents T.E. and Lillian Sellers and Ernest and Maudie Thornton. Those remaining to cherish his memories are, his wife, Mary Sellers, their two children, Amy Pyle (spouse Shawn) and Tye Sellers (spouse Mindy), grandchildren, Zachary Pyle, Zoe Pyle and Milo Sellers, two brothers Gayland Sellers (spouse Sharon) and Doug Sellers (spouse Lori).
The Sellers family will honor and celebrate the life of Leon Sellers with a memorial service at 2:00PM, Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Quaker Ave Church of Christ, with Skip Rodgers officiating.
