Leon Wilson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by St. John's Family Funeral Home & Crematory on Jan. 14, 2026.
Leon Marcus Wilson, 74, of St. Augustine, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026.

Leon Marcus Wilson served our nation for 6 years in the Navy. He primarily worked on helicopters, maintaining and fixing them. He was the one go to persons to fix them.

After the Navy, he worked as a government contractor in the Middle East, such as Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates. He had been there when the Gulf War took place, but Marc never went into details about things he did because some were confidential missions.

He sacrificed and dedicated his life to our nation, our freedom, and that deserves everyone's respect. We know he loved our nation deeply.

He had worked in China as well as a site manager of Amusement Parks in Suzhou, where he met his wife, Liwen. Eventually, his wife gained legal immigration and was allowed to move and live in our great nation. She works for the U.S.P.S. and loves America. She loves her husband deeply.

Marc was a very special person. He had a good sense of humor, which made his wife laugh loudly. He loved guns, beer, freedom, and Trump. He especially loved our nation.

He enjoyed fishing, shooting guns, fixing things on the property, and telling illegals to go home. He loved sitting on the porch listening to the wind blow and birds singing.

Marc was a very honest and secretive man. His warmth and dedication to his wife and daughter were truly special.

He will be missed so very much!

A Graveside service, with military honors bestowed by the United States Navy, will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 2:30 p.m.
