Leona Peterson Obituary

Leona was born in 1940 to George and Ellen Veit in Rice Lake, WI. She loved gardening and maintained a beautiful rock flower garden. Leona grew vegetables and enjoyed canning them. She was always helping others and company was always welcome. Leona had a very strong faith in Christ.
She is preceded in death by her son, John E. Peterson; parents, John and Ellen Marie Berger; and brothers, Michael Berger, Eugene Veit, and Douglas Veit. Leona is survived by her son, Randy (Gwen)Peterson; two grandchildren, Leah and Daniel; two great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Barb Veit; and John's partner, Betsy Kesner.
Per Leona's request, no services will be held. A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2026.
