Leonard Borthwick Obituary

Leonard Morton Borthwick, 83, of Warminster, PA, passed away on October 31, 2025.

Born in Rochester, New York in 1942 to Gerald and Faye Borthwick, Leonard grew up surrounded by his close-knit family. He attended Ben Franklin High School through 11th grade before completing his secondary education at Batavia High School. After graduating, Leonard began a new journey by joining the Air Force, where he spent four years as an Airman stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho.

Following his service, Leonard returned to Rochester, where he began a new chapter working at Kodak and Xerox. Determined to further his education, he attended night classes at the University of Rochester, ultimately earning a Bachelor of Science in General Studies. As he built his career in data processing, Leonard continued his commitment to learning, later obtaining his Master's in Business Administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Leonard cherished the bonds he shared with his cousins and his brother, recalling with fondness their adventures growing up in Rochester and Batavia. These family ties remained strong throughout his life and they spoke often, even in recent days. Leonard's love of cars led him to many car shows, and his weekends were filled with Eagles football games and movie nights. He was always ready to try a new bowl of Pho or Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup - never turning down the opportunity to share a meal with loved ones.

And above all, Leonard adored his grandchildren more than anything else in life, and treasured every moment spent with them.

Leonard is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Trudy; his children, Alan and Laura; his brother, Norman, and his sister-in-law, Jean; and his grandchildren, Olivia and Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Faye Borthwick.

Graveside services will be held privately for family only. Shiva will be observed Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Ann's Choice in the Keystone multipurpose room starting at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ann's Choice Senior Living Benevolent Fund.
