Leonard “Lenny” Wise Boulet
Leonard “Lenny” Wise Boulet, a 63-year-old native and resident of Larose passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026.
Lenny is survived by his brother Keith James Boulet (Roland); sister Patricia Boulet Fontenot (Kim); sister Beth Marie Boulet; niece Maureen Boulet; nephew Samuel Boulet; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bobby” Meyer Boulet; mother, Eugenie Ann Wise Boulet; brother, Clayton Robert Boulet.
Lenny was injured in 1993 and lived longer with his disability than without. Prior to that point in time he enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing booray with friends, and water skiing in the bayou. Lenny was everyone’s favorite mechanic. Being extremely skilled with his hands, he could fix engines in cars, trucks, tractors, and lawnmowers. Lenny had an incredible memory and
could always remember and tell jokes. He was a natural storyteller, and he could gossip with the best!
Lenny loved to eat good food, was generous to a fault, and a loyal friend. He was informed and accepting of his diagnosis from the beginning and was an incredible advocate for his own well-being for the past 33 years. His sense of humor was never replaced with bitterness and regret. He fought many battles and never gave up!
The family would like to especially thank his devoted caregivers who gave their heart and soul to help Lenny live his best life: Brett Duplantis, PA; Dwight Matherne, PA; Lenny Folse, PA; Tamra Foret, Triston Foret, Susan Duet, Peggy Zeringue and Dottie Cheramie. Also, many thanks to the doctors and staff members that assisted with his care at Terrebonne General Hospital, Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, and AMG Specialty Hospital. A gathering of family and friends will take place later this spring to celebrate Lenny’s life.
