Rudolph Paul Martin Jr., 76, of Raceland, LA died after a long battle of Anemia on Feb 1, 2026.
He was born in Raceland in 1949 to Rudolph “Cocky” Martin Sr. and Skadrite “Scottie” Martin. He graduated with the first class of Central Lafourche High School in 1968 and then attended Nicholls State University. He went on to work for Winn Dixie for 32 years and after a short retirement, he then worked in management for Big Lots for several more years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife of 53 years, Darlene Cheramie Martin and two daughters, Angelle M. LeBlanc (Chad) and Nealie M. Savoie (Anthony). He had six Grandchildren, Matthew LeBlanc (Emily), Maddison L. Breaux (Kline) and Morgan L. Trahan (Austin), Brooke Savoie, Beau Savoie and Bree Savoie and two Great Grandsons (Lane and Reid).He is also survived by his siblings Diana Sanders, Mark Martin, Lisa Martin, Karen Martin.
A Memorial Service and Mass will be at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Raceland, LA. Visitation will be from 9 to 11am on Monday, Feb 9. Mass will begin at 11am with burial immediately following at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland, LA.
