Today we celebrate the life of Leonard Wayne Diggs. On March 26, 1949, this precious gift from God was placed in the care of Milton Diggs and Bernice Morgan Diggs. He attended Marshall High School, in Angleton and graduated from Angleton High School in 1968. For many years Leonard worked for Southwestern Bell as a Communication Technician, he later worked for Linda Lakes as a Communication Tech. He loved to travel, fish, and spend time with his family. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Bernice Diggs, his brothers, Milton Stanley Diggs, and Kevin Raye Diggs. Leonard, would like to let you know that his work here is done. On Thursday February 6, 2025; he received a call, a sort of an offer he could not refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. His new mission takes him to a wonderful place where he will no longer suffer. The gift of his love is a cherished treasure that cannot be diminished by the separation of his soul. Leonard was loved unconditionally by his wife Monalisa, his sons. Leonard Jr., Ka'Lon, Darrin, and Jarrell; his grandson, Lorenza Gireny; his siblings, Michael Diggs, Kenneth Diggs, Gregory Diggs, (Nikki), and Derrick Diggs (Sherry); his sisters, Sandra Diggs, Melba Glover, Karen Woodard (Larry, Sr.), Sherri Smith (Danny), Jerra Diggs, and Rachel Courtney, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

I love this photo of Leonard from several years ago. Leonard and his neighbor, Wayne, spent lots of time together over the years. He will be missed.
