Leonard Michael Fischbach

Leonard M. Fischbach, age 72 of Northfield, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
Leonard was born on November 4, 1952, in South St. Paul, Minnesota, to Leonard and Alice (Zarich) Fischbach. Leonard was raised in South Saint Paul with his brother and 5 sisters. After high school he attended Vo-Tech in Faribault. On March 2, 1974 he was united in marriage to Debbie Emery at Holy Trinity Church in South Saint Paul. He was a very avid outdoors man and enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping. His retirement hobby was gardening, starting all his own plants in the winter to plant in the spring. One of his greatest joys was teaching and helping Chris with his garden and getting Gwen to help him weed.
Leonard will always be remembered by his wife of over 50 years, Debbie; his children Chris and Gwen; siblings Linda (Ted) Selbitschka, Jan Kline, Denise Esty, Barb Matthews (Jerry Peterson), Lorrice Hogan, Jeff (Janet) Fischbach; as well as his nieces, nephews, other extended family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws Ken and LaVon Emery, his brothers-in-law Tom Kline, Dave Esty, Bill Matthews and Jerry Hogan.
A Celebration of Leonard's Life will be held from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Bierman, Benson & Langehough Funeral Home of Northfield.
