Leonard Golembiewski, 91, passed away on July 8, 2025. Leonard grew up on the Southside of Milwaukee and attended Boy’s Tech High School. Shortly afterward , Leonard joined the Army during the Korean War.
Following the service for his country Leonard worked at Allen Bradley as a lead purchasing agent, where he cultivated life long friends. Leonard met Ruth, the love of his life and best friend who he married 67 years ago. They were inseparable and their bond only grew through the years. Together they loved to work in their yard, attend sporting events, travel with family or engaging in a daily battle with the backyard squirrels. Leonard is best known for engaging in conversations with random people. His family learned the art of patience while waiting for the conversation to conclude. If you ever heard Leonard tell you “to be good”, or “behave yourself” you knew you were loved forever. Leonard was a devoted Catholic, and a member of St. Alphonsus Church. Leonard lived life for his religion and family. Leonard loved Hallmark ornaments and was a Hallmark member since 1990.
Leonard is survived by his wife Ruth, daughters Colleen(Scott) Smurawa and Lisa (Patricia) Dauley, granddaughter’s Ali Smurawa and Kia Smurawa, and his nieces and nephews.
