Leonard Wayne Lanham, 84, was joined with his Heavenly Father on December 2, 2025.

The Daviess County native was born June 24, 1941. Leonard worked in construction and later did hardwood floors. He was a faithful man and longtime member of Shelbyville Christian Assembly where he also filled in as a preacher. Leonard loved cars and in his younger days his nickname was Rod.

Leonard built a legacy of 3 children, 15 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren. Leonard's life was forever changed in 1953 when he gave his life to Christ.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Bertha Lanham and his brother Earl Anthony Lanham.

Leonard is survived by his wife of 61 years, Leslie Fay Lanham; his children, Rick (Kris) Lanham, Jeremy (Julie) Lanham and Monica (Gary) Warford, all of Shelbyville KY; his grandchildren, Jessica (Tim) Lange, Heidi (Justin) Chesser, Bryan Lanham, Luke (Katelyn) Lanham, Erika (Dustin) Casey, Hollie (Garrett) Miller, Alisha Lanham, Abby Lanham, Dylan (Miranda) Lanham, Stacie (Kevin) Melzer, Austin (Haley) Lanham, Mark Lanham, Kevin Lanham, Malia Warford and Jaxon Warford; his great-grandchildren, Evan, Emmett, Curtis, Leslie, Ethan, Herbie, Ajiah, Eli, Isaiah, Bella, Ezra, Evy, Melody, Jayden, Brantley, Maggie, Myla, Bimini, Pete, Evelelyn, Amelia and Sutton; and his sisters, Jennifer (Wasson) Kerrick of Philpot, KY and Sonya (Dean) Callis of Masonville, KY.

The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday December 5, 2025, at the Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday December 5, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at the Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
