On Thursday, November 27, 2025, with special orders from the Lord in hand, the angels took flight to Shreveport, LA and escorted our beloved Edward to his eternal home.
Cherishing warm memories of his life are his wife Ardessie Chase Francois, (Eunice), 3 daughters Margaret Clare Francois (Atlanta, GA), Doretha Marie Leday Jackson (Shreveport, LA), and Angela Camille (Allen) Lee (Lafayette, LA); 3 sons Edward Ned Francois, Jr. (Atlanta, GA) Anthony Lamar(Lisa) Francois, Sr. (Lavon, TX), and James Harold Francois (Sterlington, LA); 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandsons, 1 brother-in-law (whom he raised) Louis Anthony Anderson, Jr.; 1 other brother-in-law Horace (Paula) Chase; 2 sisters-in-law; 6 nieces; 4 nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Polite and Margaret Francois, 4 brothers Ernest, Harold, Irvin and Alvin; 2 sisters Thelma Phillips and Lillie Hogan; 4 sisters-in-law Elouise Francois, Josie Franklin Francois, Hazel Francois and Beverly Chase Washington, 4 brothers-in-law Alverez Phillips, Robert Hogan, Sr., Thomas Washington and Walter Chase, III.3 nephews Kenneth and Robert Hogan and Irvin Renard Francois;1 godchild/nephew Thomas Emanuel Washington.
Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
