Leonard Mohre Obituary

Passed away September 12, 2024, at the age of 88. Leonard was born on February 16, 1936, in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Donald and Thelma (Pifer) Mohre. He graduated from Dimondale High School in 1954 and went on to work for Lindell Drop Forge in Lansing. Leonard had an eye for antique cars. One of his favorite things to do was drive through car shows. He was quite handy and was proud of the two houses he built. Leonard was a family man. He enjoyed going to Gray Lake fishing with his family and spending time together. One of Leonard's other hobbies was bowling and sneaking in a cookie from time to time.
Leonard is survived by his wife of 66 years, Judith Mohre of Eaton Rapids; children, Debbie (Mike) Disler and Scott (Wendy) Mohre; grandchildren, Sarah Disler, Anthony Mohre and Jordon Mohre; great granddaughter, Aislyn Disler as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 8 brothers and sisters; grandson, Steven Disler.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all of his caregivers, especially Jessica and Nurse Ashley.
As per Leonard's wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lansing - Stoneleigh Residence, 3186 Pine Tree Rd. Suite 1, Lansing MI 48911, in loving memory of Leonard Allan Mohre. Arrangements were entrusted to the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel in Eaton Rapids. Dear Judy and Family,
Carol and I send our deepest condolences. The Mohre Brothers were known for their outstanding work ethic and were highly respected by those who worked alongside of them at the Drop Forge. May you find peace and comfort in the knowledge of the fond memories people hold of Leonard.
