Leonard “Junior” Paul Painter Jr., 80, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025. He was born on March 27, 1945, in Gastonia, North Carolina, to the late Paul and Vesta Painter Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sherren Painter; sons, Marvin Painter and William Painter; daughter, Lynn Ramsey.
He is survived by his brother, Harold Painter; sisters, Lorene Davis and Louise Macy; grandchildren, Dakota Painter, Paul Painter, Christian Painter, William Painter, Ryan Ramza, and James Ramza; nephew, Everette Dunn.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
