Leonard R. "Herk" Ranney, age 91, passed away peacefully at his home on July 1, 2025.
He was born May 1, 1934 to Clifton and Lela (DeBar) Ranney in Omaha, NE. Herk graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from United Airlines and was a member of the Community of Christ Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death, grandchildren Jerald McManigal and Kari Firlik.
Herk is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beverly Ranney; children, Larry (Debra) Ranney, Linn (Gerard) Leahy, Kelly (Karl) Bock, John (Marty) Dougherty, Wade (Laura) Ranney, and Judy (John) Evans; brother, Del (Kathy) Ranney; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, July 5, 2025. The family will direct memorials.
