Leonard Francis Wilkinson

Leonard F. Wilkinson 73 of Naples, FL passed peacefully on October 22, 2021 in his home. Leonard was born on 10/16/48 and raised in Queens, NY, son of Leonard and Bernadette(Delmore) Wilkinson.
Lee graduated from St. Helena's High School 1966. Following graduation he attended St. John University and later joined the NYC Transit Police Department until he retired at age 42 and moved to Naples, FL 1989. He joined the Collier County Sheriffs Department, April 1992 and retired November 2014. Lee was in law enforcement for 43 years.
Lee loved golf, hockey, baseball, running and Sunday football because we all knew how important his weekly picks in fantasy football were. Lee loved to travel, fine dining, cooking, visiting NY whenever possible and he was always dressed to impress.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shannon Abeln, his son Christopher Wilkinson, granddaughter Brynlee Wilkinson, brother Russ, sister-in-law Diane, his sister Maureen, stepson Cody Abeln, stepdaughter Ashley Abeln, step-grandchildren Natalie, Noah, Farrah, Shaelynn, Teagan & many nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens
