Leonard Eugene Winkowski Sr., age 88, passed away at home in Prescott, MI on March 5, 2025. He was born on September 1, 1936, to Frank and Marie (Derwinski) Winkowski in Flint, MI. Leonard worked for General Motors Corp. for 30 years, retiring in 1988. He also served as a union representative. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and motorcycle rides. Leonard is survived by his wife Pam, his children; Lee (Darlene) Winkowski and April Winkowski, step children; Terry (Louann) Montney and James Montney, and his sister Jeanette Asher, and many grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Leonard is preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years, Katherine Winkowski, siblings; Frank Winkowski and Antoinette Ryan, children; Jacqueline Winkowski and Leonard Winkowski Jr., stepchildren; Jeff Montney, Robert Montney, Duane Montney and Kathy Thatcher Barber. Per Leonard's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Buresh Funeral Home in Prescott, MI. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and conclude at the time of service at 1:00. A luncheon will follow. You may offer condolences and memories at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
