You served your country in the Korean War, you worked for General Motors for 35 years, you had numerous battles with heart disease and you won every single time. You are the strongest, bravest warrior I’ve ever know and you were my Dad. You walked side by side through 55 years with the love of your life. You loved your family unconditionally, you took care of your family, you celebrated the holidays, birthdays, special occasions and all of life in general with your entire family. You were the life of the party, outgoing, the funniest man in the room whether it be sarcasm, your sense of humor, your jokes. You brought smiles to everybody’s face, you made everybody laugh, you gave us a lifetime of love and memories that we will always remember and cherish. You were kind hearted, generous, supportive, very smart, introspective, with your own style that could never be duplicated. You told me, showed me and I was there through all of the years, seeing what it took to be a man. I love you and I am proud to be your Son and I am proud and blessed that you are my Dad.
Yes, your body is no longer here and we will miss you endlessly, but you did not die. Your spirit and your soul are free to be everything that you are, everything that makes you, YOU, and we know that you are close and among us.
We didn’t lose you, because we know exactly where you are. And one day, we will all be together again, eternally.
Love your Son,
Christopher Mark Zeitz
