Leonardo Antonio Schubert

Leonardo Antonio Schubert, age 42 of West Palm Beach, passed away suddenly of natural causes on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at home in West Palm Beach, Florida. Leonardo was born on August 1, 1981 in Caracas, Venezuela to Arturo and Teresa Schubert.
Leonardo attended Temple University in Philadelphia, and he was one of ten students selected at his university to study for a semester in Rome, Italy. Upon graduation in 2005, Leonardo moved to Miami, Florida, where he enjoyed the tropical weather, going to the beach, and working with Miguel Ruiz and Guido Brito, who became long-time friends until his passing.
Leonardo enjoyed a wide range of hobbies, including collecting and fixing watches, 3-D printing, sports cars-including fixing his Camaro and drag racing it at the Cecil County Dragway when he was younger, among other hobbies throughout the years. Leonardo enjoyed raising butterflies and learning about insects with his children and wife in his final year, raising monarchs, painted ladies, wasp moths, Io moths, and polyphemous moths with his children and wife. The Sunday before his passing, Leonardo spent the day at Grassy Waters Preserve with his family learning about the different types of local wildlife, leaving his family with one lasting memory of his warm smile and the depth of interest he took in anything that he did.
Leonardo is survived by his wife of 17 years, Meghan (Phillips) Schubert, his son, Oliver Schubert, his daughter, Emily Schubert, his father, Arturo Schubert, his mother, Teresa Schubert, and his brothers, Alejandro Schubert and Antonino Schubert. Leonardo is predeceased by his grandmother, Alice Sorze.
