Leonel "Leo" Leite

Leonel "Leo" Leite, 82, of Rocky Hill, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026. He was born on March 26, 1944, in Hartford, CT to the late Lionel and Ann Leite.

Leo served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1968 aboard the U.S.S. Albany. During his service, he formed a lifelong friendship with Kurt Robair, who survives him.

He had a creative and spirited nature, enjoying hobbies such as billiards, painting, and wood carving. Leo also had a knack for online solitaire. A devoted sports fan, he faithfully followed his favorite New York teams, the Giants and the Yankees.

Leo will be remembered for his quiet strength, his creativity, and the love he had for his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Along with his parents, Leo was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lauren Leite; and his sister, Rosemary Leite.

He is lovingly remembered by his children: Lori Engengrro (Dave), Kimberly Martin (Chad), Michael Leite, Traci Egan, Elizabeth Baker (Martin), Ryan Egan, and Craig Griffen (Chelsea). Leo was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren, each of whom brought him great joy.

The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday, April 02, 2026, from 10:00am to 11:00am at Rose Hill Funeral Home 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill, CT. with Services will follow. Burial with military honors will be in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
